Team play dates where
the only goal is fun.

A proper team away day in the great outdoors, on company time. Three private acres, full permission to play, and one very good day out. Remember when going out to play was the best bit of the day? This is that, for grown-ups.

Last-minute play dates

Last chance for some outdoor team fun this season.

Our 2026 season runs April to mid-October, and we've three dates left before we close for the year. If your team fancies a proper day out before the meadow goes quiet, now's the moment. Grab one while they're going.

Your team works hard all year.
Give them a day that shows you see it.

Office Escapes is a day out for teams who need to get away from it all, blow off some steam, let their hair down, and remember they actually quite like each other, and that there's a lot more to everyone than what shows up at work.

You bring your lot. We bring the food, the fun challenges, that big open view, and a campfire whenever the weather lets us (and it's magic when it does). You don't organise a thing. You just turn up, roll your sleeves up, and let the meadow do the rest.

It's not team building. Not really. It's a play date for adults that happens to leave everyone feeling like a team again.

And it's not therapy, and it's not one of those packaged wellness days. No workbooks, no reflective circles, no being told to breathe. It's simply a day of fun and laughter and letting your hair down, with stories and photos your team will be talking about and sharing long after.

This is a day of pure fun, and that's the whole point of it. No fixing, no fuss, no hidden agenda. Just your team, a brilliant day out, and stories they'll be telling for months.

A day in the life

What The Long Escape actually looks like

No two days are the same. You pick the flavour, we make it happen. Here's how one might unfold.

9.45Roll in, park up, breathe out. Kettle's on, the meadow's waiting, and there's not a name badge or an ice-breaker in sight. You're on Island time now.
10.00We're off! A proper welcome, a warm-up out on the grass, and the first hint of the very good, very friendly chaos to come.
10.30Your pick to kick things off. The Rusty Olympics (welly wanging, space-hopper races and glorious mayhem) or a hike up into the hills. The quiet one from accounts absolutely smashing it, whatever you choose.
12.30Lunch out in the open air, round the fire if the weather's playing nice. Proper food, full plates, not a single email. Refuel, swap stories, plot your comeback.
1.30Your afternoon, your call. A proper game of rounders on the meadow, whittle a bit of wood, sculpt a ridiculous clay version of your colleague, or dream up your own daft challenge. Teamwork sneaks up on everyone, no clipboards or jargon required.
4.00Back together to wind down (round the fire if we've got one going). Drinks in hand, boots off, sun on your face, and that brilliant knackered-but-happy buzz.
4.30Home time, reluctantly. Muddy, grinning, already trying to book next year's before you've left the field.

Nothing here is compulsory. If someone would rather sit one out and cheer from a deckchair, that's completely fine. This is about fun, not dread.

This is just one way to play it. We've a whole bank of fun activities to draw from, so share your vision and we'll create the day with you. The Short Escape packs the same spirit into a morning or an afternoon. The Great Escape carries on into dinner, dark skies and a night under canvas.

3 acres of meadow just for you. Let your hair down and have fun.

Three private acres overlooking the countryside. No interruptions, no neighbouring groups. Just your team, the fresh air, and a day that feels a million miles from the office.

What your team actually takes home

It's never really about the wellie wanging. It's about the bit afterwards, when someone says "I haven't laughed like that in ages."

🤝

Reconnect

Time out together, properly, away from the usual routine. People who genuinely know one another work better together. That's the whole point.

🔨

Create

Build something, cook something, make something. There's a particular magic in getting stuck in together with your hands.

🎉

Celebrate

Time together, away from the office. A big win, the end of a hard year, or just because. Sometimes a team just needs a proper day to enjoy itself.

The honest bit

Why you should treat your team

Well, basically because it's a really nice thing for a boss or team leader to do, and because it's simply a good thing to do! But there are some genuinely great benefits for your workplace too, when your people feel valued.

More gets done

A team that actually likes each other communicates better, sorts problems faster and drops fewer balls. Connection isn't soft. It's how good work happens.

People stick around

When you invest in your team, they feel it. And people who feel valued stay, try harder, and speak up. A day like this says "you matter here" louder than any email.

The buzz lasts

The stories from a day out get retold for months. That shared laugh becomes the thing that carries a team through the hard weeks back at the desk.

Invest in your people, and they invest right back. A happy, connected team delivers more, cares more, and gives more, because you gave first.

Who you'll be escaping with
Nikki and Ian, the couple behind Office Escapes

Hello, we're Nikki & Ian

We love being outdoors, and we know just how much fun can be had when you have a big open space, a chance to escape work pressure for a few hours, and the freedom to just let your hair down. So we wanted to open the gates to 3 acres of beautiful meadow, so that you and your team, colleagues or leaders can do exactly that.

We keep the numbers small on purpose. No scripts, no clipboards. Just good people, good food, and the kind of day people talk about long after.

Office Escapes brings together years of running workshops, day programmes and events, now on our own patch at Rusty Meadow, our pop-up campsite and events field in Godshill. Two years hosting there, hundreds of happy guests and a shelf of five-star reviews. Same skills, brilliant new setting.

"We create days that remind people
why they enjoy working together."

The proof is on the meadow
